Bio of the Founder
At Gracefully Anchored Wellness, my mission is to help individuals and families navigate the challenges that come with aging, disability, and special needs so they can continue living safely, confidently, and independently in the place they call home.
Founded by Steven Pierre, a Haitian American Occupational Therapy Doctoral student born in Boston and raised primarily in Florida, Gracefully Anchored Wellness was created from a deep passion for serving others and filling the gap for individuals who may not know what support, equipment, or resources they truly need. Through education, guidance, and compassionate care, our goal is to make aging in place and independent living more accessible for every family.
Part of my passion for this work was strengthened during a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, where I witnessed firsthand the difficult living conditions many local families face and how challenging it can be for underserved communities to access healthcare resources, support, and information that could improve their quality of life. That experience inspired me to become an advocate for individuals and families who may feel overlooked or unsure of where to turn for help.
I am also a proud husband to my beautiful wife and father to an amazing son. Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy being outdoors, staying active in sports, supporting my favorite team — the Boston Celtics — attending church, and finding meaningful ways to give back to my community. These values shape the heart behind Gracefully Anchored Wellness: meeting people where they are and helping them live with dignity, purpose, and support.
